Bocholt Textilwerk

Ich verbringe meine Ferien in Deutschland, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Und da das Gute so nah liegt, besichtige ich auch alle schönen Museen und Rathausplätze in der Umgebung. Zuerst stand Bocholt auf dem Programm, mit dem TextilWerk, Forum für Textilkultur. Eine sehr schöne Anlage mit Arbeiterhäusern, Niederrheiner Hühnern im Garten und einer eindrucksvollen Werkhalle. Hier geht's jetzt um die Postkarten ;-) Leider gab es keine zu kaufen, doch hat man uns vier  mit Webmustern geschenkt.

On my way home, to my parents's house in Germany, I stopped in Bocholt where a friend lives. Great occasion to  visit the museum belonging to a former center of production of towels and kitchen cloths. 

The day was rather sunny, few people in the production hall and we had all the time to study the life of the workers. This past is not too far away from me, having been raised in the sixties and having known these old towels in our kitchen and on our farm.

Of course, I couldn't resist to look for cards! Unfortunately, they didn't sell one, but we had good luck as the lady at the reception offered four  cards, showing different patterns of the fabrics.
